ROW 1 (CENTER)

Work 24 treble (or double-treble) crochets into first chain (ring). Join.

ROW 2

FLIP the work. Work *front post dc, ch1* around. Join.

ROW 3 (PUFFS)

with work still FLIPPED, in each ch1 space, work puff stitch (4 st) and ch2 (I ch to close puff and 1 extra ch). Work around. Join.

ROW 4 (OUTER PETALS)

FLIP work again. In ch1 space between puff, join yarn and work 2 dc. Ch 1 and in next ch1 space work another 2 dc. Ch 4. Skip over next puff stitch and continue to work the 2 sets of 2 dc and ch4 around.

Make sure you have even spacing of these sets.

ROW 5 (OUTER PETALS)

Between the 2 sets of 2 dc, work 1 sc. In ch 4 space, work 9 dc. Continue around.

ROW 6 (EDGING)

Work single crochet edging up the sides of each outer petal. In the st at top, work 4 st picot. At the bottom of each petal, slip instead of sc to reduce bulk.
