START

Ch 4 and join with sl st to form ring.

ROW 1

Ch 2 (serves as 1 dc). Work additional 15 dc into ring (16 dc). Join with sl st.

ROW 2

Ch 2 (serves as 1 dc). Skip 1 st and work 1 dc, ch 2, 1 dc in same space. Skip 1 st and continue working 1 dc, ch 2, 1 dc in same space. (This will form 8 v-shaped stitches).

ROW 3

Into each of the ch2 spaces, work 2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc. (This will form 8 nases for petal-shaped clusters).

ROW 4

In a ch-2 space at the tips of the petal, work 4 dc, ch 3, 4 dc space. Then in between the 2 dcs between the petals, work 1 sc. Continue working the 4 dc, ch 3, 4 dc in each ch-2 space and 1 sc in between the petals. (This will form 8 pointy petals).

ROW 5

Join yarn into stitch at base of petal and work 1 hdc. Ch 5, in ch-3 space at tip of petal work 2 dc, picot 3, 2 dc. Ch 5 and make 1 hdc through stitch at base of petal. Work around.

Finish off.
