Keep your stitches fairly tight for this design
NOTE: Color changes are indicated in pattern.
SPECIAL STITCHES:
3-tr cluster (3 treble crochet cluster) - [yarn over twice, insert hook in designated st, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over, pull through 2 loops, yarn over pull through 2 loops]3 times, 4 loops on hook, yarn over, pull through all 4 loops.
START
Ch 6 and join with sl st to form ring.
ROW 1
Ch 1, 12 sc in ring, join to first sc with sl st (12 sc)
ROW 2
Ch 1, sc in same sc as join, ch 2, *skip next sc, sc in next sc, ch 2, repeat from * around, join to first sc with sl st — 6 2-ch sps.
ROW 3
Ch 1, *sc, hdc, 3 dc, hdc, sc in next ch sp, repeat from * around, join to first sc with sl st (42 sts)
ROW 4
Ch 1, sc in back loop only (blo) in same sc as join, ch 3, *skip next 6 sts, sc blo in next sc, ch 3, repeat from * around, join to first sc with sl st (6 3-ch sps)
ROW 5
Ch 1, *sc, hdc, 5 dc, hdc, sc in next ch sp, repeat from * around, join to first sc with sl st (54 sts). Fasten off and change color.
ROW 6
Join new color with sc to center dc of any petal, ch 3, dc in sc of Rnd 4 between same and next petals, ch 3, sc in center dc of next petal, ch 3, repeat from * around, join to first sc with sl st — 12 3-ch sps.
ROW 7
Ch 3, 2-tr cluster (see Special Abbreviations) in same sc as join, [ch 3, 3-tr cluster (see Special Abbreviations)] 2 times in same sc, *tr, ch 2, tr in next dc, 3-tr cluster in next sc, [ch 2, 3-tr cluster] 2 times in same sc, repeat from * around, join to first cluster with sl st — 18 clusters. Fasten off.
ROW 8
Work a simple row of sc around, but at top of curves work 2 sc in stitch. Adjust as needed to make flat even row of scs around.
ROW 9
Now work a row of dc around, but at top of curves in two places work 2 dc in stitch. Adjust as needed to make flat even row of dcs around. Fasten off.
ROW 10
Now work a row of simple sc's around, adding additional stitches as needed to make flat even row of scs around. Fasten off.
