027-C Easy 8 Petal Star Flower

• Color changes are not indicated in pattern but you can use different color for each row.

START

Ch 3, join with slst to form a base ring.

ROW 1

Ch 2 (counts as 1 dc), 11 dc in ring. Join with sl st on 2nd chain. (12 st)

ROW 2

Ch 1, 1 sc in same stitch. 2 sc in each st to complete round. Join with sl st on 1st ch. (24 st)

ROW 3

Repeat round 2, but make sc stitches loose to allow for ease around circle. (24 st)

ROW 4

Start in any stitch, 2 dc in first and second st, ch 4. Repeat until you have 8 sides. S. st to complete round.

ROW 5 (PETALS)

Attach yarn between the 2 sets of 2 dc with a sc, 8 dc into chain loop, sc in middle of the 4 dc from previous round. Repeat around for 8 petals.

ROW 6

1sc in each stitch along edge. At top of petal, make picot stitch (ch 4, sl st in 1st ch to make loop). Continue all the way around.

Fasten off.
