START

Ch 4; join with a slip stitch to form a ring.

ROW 1 (BASE)

Ch 2. In the ring, work 11 dc. Sl st to top of ch-2 and close the ring. (12 dc)

ROW 2

In one of the spaces between the dc stitches, ch 2 (counts as dc). Make 1 dc into same space.

In each remaining space, work 2dc. Sl st to top of ch-2. (12 petals).

ROW 3 (POPCORNS)

In one of the spaces between the 12 petals, ch 2 (counts as 1 dc) and work 3 more dc in same space. Slip out hook leaving loop and insert hook into top of ch 2 and back through loop. Pull tight then ch 2. Work popcorn *4 dc, slip/insert, pull tight, ch2** in remaining spaces, Sl st to close. (12 popcorns)

ROW 4

In ch-2 space, work stitches as follows *single crochet (sc), hdc (half double crochet), dc (double crochet), htr (half treble crochet), dc, hdc, sc**. This will create pointed petal. Ch 3, then continue to work petals in remaining ch-2 spaces. Join with sl st. (12 petals).

ROW 5

In ch-3 space, work same series of stitches as follows *single crochet (sc), hdc (half double crochet), dc (double crochet), htr (half treble crochet), dc, hdc, sc**. This will create 2nd row of pointed petals. Ch 1 only, then continue to work petals in remaining ch-3 spaces. Join with sl st. (12 petals).


Fasten off.

If they’ve slipped back, pull all petals to front of flower.
