• To flatten flower a bit, lightly press.

START

Ch 4, join with slst on the first ch to form a base ring.

ROW 1 (BASE)

6 sc in ring. Join with sl st to 1st sc.

ROW 2 (PETAL 1)

Ch 1, in same stitch 3 dc, ch 1 and slip st – makes petal 1. In next stitch, *sc, ch1, 3dc, ch1, sl st** - repeat * to ** for 5 more petals – 6 petals total.

ROW 3 (BACK CHAINS)

Ch 3, bring work to backside and then slip st around slip st from previous round (stitch at base of petal. *Ch 3, sl st at base**. Repeat * to ** for 6 chains total. Slip st into 1st chain from 1st ch-3 set.

ROW 4 (PETAL 2)

Into 1st ch-3 space on back, *sc, ch 1, 4 dc, ch 1, sl st**. Repeat * to ** 5 more times – second layer of 6 petals

R0W 5 (BACK CHAINS)

Ch 4, bring work to backside and then slip st around slip st from previous round (stitch at base of petal. *Ch 4, sl st at base**. Repeat * to ** for 6 chains total. Slip st into 1st chain from 1st ch-4 set.

ROW 6 (PETAL 3)

Into 1st ch-4 space on back, *sc, ch 1, 5 dc, ch 1, sl st**. Repeat * to ** 5 more times – third layer of 6 petals

ROW 7 (BACK CHAINS)

Ch 5, bring work to backside and then slip st around slip st from previous round (stitch at base of petal. *Ch 5, sl st at base**. Repeat * to ** for 6 chains total. Slip st into 1st chain from 1st ch-5 set.

ROW 8 (PETAL 4)

Into 1st ch-5 space on back, *sc, ch 1, 6 dc, ch 1, sl st**. Repeat * to ** 5 more times – fourth layer of 6 petals

ROW 9 (BACK CHAINS)

Ch 6, bring work to backside and then slip st around slip st from previous round (stitch at base of petal. *Ch 6, sl st at base**. Repeat * to ** for 6 chains total. Slip st into 1st chain from 1st ch-6 set.

ROW 10 (PETAL 5)

Into 1st ch-6 space on back, *sc, ch 1, 7 dc, ch 1, sl st**. Repeat * to ** 5 more times – fifth layer of 6 petals

To enlarge, repeat chain (increase by 1 chain) and petal (increase by 1 dc) for each new petal round.

Fasten off.
