SPECIAL STITCHES
Fpsc – front post single crochet: Insert the hook from front to back to front around the indicated stitch and work a sc.
V-St – v stitch: 1 dc, ch2, 1 dc worked in same stitch.
Dc4tog: *Yarn over, insert hook into the indicated stitch, yarn over, pull up a
loop, yarn over, draw through 2 loops.** Repeat from *to ** three more times.
Yarn over draw through all 5 loops on the hook.
START
Ch 3, join with sl st to form ring. Work 6 sc in ring. Sl st to first sc. (6 sc)
ROW 1 (BASE)
Ch 1. In the ring, work 12 hdc over the 6 sc. Sl st to first hdc and close the ring. (12 hdc)
ROW 2 (CENTER)
Work all stitches in front loops. Ch 1, sc in same stitch. Sc in all other stitches. Sl st to the first sc. Fasten off. (12 sc)
ROW 3 (RING AROUND CENTER)
Work all stitches in back loops Attach new color in any stitch and ch 1. *Work 2 sc in next stitch, 1 sc in next stitch** Repeat from * to ** omitting the last sc. Sl st to the first sc. (18 sc)
ROW 4 (RING AROUND CENTER)
Ch 5 (counts as 1st dc and a ch-2). 1 dc in same stitch (this is your first V-st). *Skip 1 st and work a V-St in next stitch** Repeat from * to **. Sl st to the 3rd chain of the ch5. Fasten off (9 V-st)
R0W 5 (PUFFY PETALS)
Attach new color. Sl st in any space after V-st and ch 1. *Ch 3, dc4tog in the next V-st ch-2 space, ch3, sc in the space between the V-stitches** Repeat * to ** omitting the last sc. Sl st to the first sc. Fasten off.
ROW 6 (OUTER PETALS)
Attach new color. Start with standing fpsc around any dc4tog. *Sl st to the next ch3 from previous round, ch3 (it will count as your first dc from a dc group), 5 dc. Skip the sc from prevoius round. Sl st to the next ch3 space, fpsc around next dc4tog.** Repeat from * to ** omitting the last fpsc. Sl st to the first fpsc.
Fasten off.
