• Center and each petal can be different color

• Highlight outside edge with contrasting or decorative yarn





START

Ch 4, join with sl st to form ring.

ROW 1 (BASE)

Ch 6 (counts as dc, ch 3), (dc in ring, ch 3) 4 times; join with sl st to 3rd ch of beg ch6. (5 petals)

[change color]

ROW 2 (1st PETAL)

Sl st into first petal, ch 1, (sc, hdc, 3dc, hdc, sc) in each petal; join with sl st in beg sc.

ROW 3 (BASE FOR 2nd PETAL)

Ch 6 (counts as sc, ch 5), (sl st at base of petal, ch 5) 4 times; join with sl st in 1st ch of beg ch6. Chains should sit at back behind petals. [change color]

ROW 4 (2nd PETAL)

Sl st into first petal, ch 1, (sc, hdc, 3dc, hdc, sc) in each petal; join with sl st in beg sc. [change color]

ROW 5 (BASE FOR 3rd PETAL)

Ch 8 (counts as sc, ch 7), (sl st at base of petal, ch 7) 4 times; join with sl st in 1st ch of beg ch8. Chains should sit at back behind petals.

ROW 6 (3rd PETAL)

Sl st into first petal, ch 1, (sc, hdc, 2 dc, 3 trc, 2 dc, hdc, sc) in each petal; join with sl st in beg sc. [change color].

Finish.

EDGING

Work simple sc edging around flower. Work sc in each stitch, but at base of petal slip stitch instead of sc and at top of petal work 2 extra sc. Your edging should lie flat - adjust your stitches if needed.
